VCU’s M.Ed. in Educational Leadership with a Concentration in Culturally Responsive Leadership, helps prepare professionals like yourself for the ever-changing educational environment! We pride ourselves on preparing transformative leaders who are able to promote a culture of change and growth in their organizations. This program is designed to give graduates foundational knowledge in change and improvement, diversity and social justice, understanding and engaging communities, and the multiple dimensions of leadership with the intent of graduates emerging from the program as leaders who are able to meet the current and emergent needs of their organizations. Curriculum will focus on leadership and understanding and mitigating power imbalances related to race, ethnicity, culture and/or class, as well as establishing policies and practices that nurture an anti-racist organizational climate. Designed for working professionals, this program can be completed part-time in as little as 22 months, with coursework fully online!
